Born in Maracaibo in 1966. Poet, journalist and researcher. Doctor in Social Sciences from Central University of Venezuela. She has published several literary works among them: a book on narrative called “Carnadas” (1998) that obtained Honorable Mention at the Literary Biennial “Miguel Ramón Utrera”; a theater play “Vulture to Misery” (1991) that was performed by the Dramatic Society of Maracaibo; the literature book with no fiction “The Vastness of the Farewell. Stories buried in a Jew Cemetery” (Polar Foundation, Caracas, 2003); and the essay that was result of her Doctorate thesis, “The Installation: tactics and setbacks” (Ateneo de Valencia, 2002)
Author of four books for children: “A Lady in a Hat” (1993) –included among the “The 10 Best of the Year” by the Venezuelan Book Bank in recognition to the most remarkable work for children in Spanish; with “My Beautiful Flying Girlfriend” (1994) she obtained the National Prize for Children Literature Miguel Vicente Pata Caliente; the book “The Hatless House” (2001) and “Benjamin, seahorse” (Pan-Americana, Bogotá, 2004). Her poetical work has been included in several anthologies: The thread of the voice.
